• Removes post-extraction and periodontal dressings.
• Cleans hand pieces, vacuum traps, and sharp instruments.
• Places and removes rubber dams.
• Pours and trims study models.

Parrish Orthodontics is seeking a highly motivated full-time dental assistant to join our team. Orthodontic experience is ideal, but we are willing to train the right person.

Requirements:

• Positive team play and can work well under supervision and with co-workers
• Ability to manage time and multi-task
• Professional in appearance and mannerism
• Good oral and written skills
• Able to communicate with children and adults
• Basic computer knowledge to access and update patient records
• Willing to travel to our other locations if needed

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the orthodontist during a variety of procedures
• Setup and clean operatories as well as sterilize instruments
• Provide patients with instructions and education them on oral hygiene during their orthodontic treatment
• Perform other office tasks as needed
• Take panoramic and CBCT x-rays
